A room with a warm heart.
This unique room has been created above the original mill kiln, which is one of very few intact kilns remaining anywhere in the UK. As a historic heritage property, restorers considered it essential to allow guests to see into the kiln, so the maple flooring also comprises a structural glass floor. The kiln below is illuminated with computer controlled lighting and its original drying tiles can also be seen.
Behind the comfortable 6 foot wide oak sleigh bed is a 16th century roof truss, which was retained during the restoration in order to add character and charm to this unusual bedroom. Additional computer controlled settings allow you to adjust the lighting for a peaceful night’s repose.
There is a contemporary en-suite shower and toilet to complement the bedroom.
